2 competitions will get the national spotlight on Thursday evening in Football preseason sports betting. Backup QB’s – The New England Patriots possess Brian Hoyer as their backup to Tom Brady. Because Brady won’t play long it will essentially be Hoyer’s competition. He’s been okay in relief of Brady in the preseason so the New England Patriots aren’t despairing. The Giants have a serious issue after Eli Manning leaves the competition on Thursday. Their backup is Jim Sorgi but he has been hurt. It has been third-string quarterback Rhett Bomar who has been getting the majority of the action. He doesn’t actually give you much confidence. You have to worry about Bomar playing poorly, though you could like to make your bet on the New York Giants in this competition vs the Football preseason odds. It is possible that Sorgi will return for this game and since Sorgi will want to play well to make sure he still has the backup quarterback job, and that could be good news for New York.
